My photography is defined by contrast and restraint. Working mostly in monochrome, with occasional deliberate accents of colour, I build images from strong tonal structure: deep blacks, luminous skies, and clean silhouettes against open spaces. The subjects range from architecture and travel to automobiles and instruments, but my way of seeing stays constant. Some images remain fully representational, a place seen whole. Others move into abstraction, isolating a curve, a surface, or a single shape until the subject gives way to pure form. The result is quiet, dramatic, and precise.
